Default low oil pressure 99gsr

So my light came on and I checked the oil and it was low a quart. I ended up changing the oil anyways to see what was wrong and noticed the oil was very dark and dirty for such low mileage. It had approximately 1000k on it. The light still stayed on after the oil change. The only thing I changed on it before I had any problems was the oil pan gasket and welded in baffles. If the pick up tube is clogged will I get low oil press or high? I'm only reading 4-5psi at idle with my autometer gauge with the oil pressure light on. I'm going to cut up my oil filter tomorrow to see if there is sludge in there. The car feels fine and I don't hear any noises. I also pulled the spark plugs and looked inside the cylinders to see if I'm burning oil and I'm not. What does a blown oil pump sound like? What causes the oil to get so dirty so fast? I only have 60k on the original motor.

Sounds like this was caused when the welded in the baffles. Either the baffles are restricting inflow to the pick up or it was dirty and the pickup is clogged. Drop the pan and look for metal shavings in the bottom. Pray you haven't Fd up your bearings already. Inspect the pickup. If its clean then re-examine the baffles.

Oil gets dirty fast from rich mixture such as lazy o2 sensor..pcv, my best bet is your car running rich

Yah i pulled the pan and the pick up wasn't clogged and there wasn't any flakes of metal in the oil. I also cut up the oil filter too and it was clean. I bit the bullet and bought a new oil pump. I think the pump just gave out. Its 13 years and I don't drive the car that much, 99 jrsc gsr with 60k on it.
