Default clutch or tranny problem?

whats up HT

heres another situation for ya'll, so when i was in first gear going from a stop to go...my car was going 0mph to 5mph then it didnt want to go anywhere ...heard poping noise, thinking that it was that i have a vacuum leak so it pops ...but i wanna say that the clutch slipped cause the rpms went up without going anywheres ...

the GF said i was about to stall but i dont stall lol...

but then i stopped putting it in neutral cursing up a storm cause i don't need the car messing up while its cold out....i put it in reverse then it went then put it back in 1st hoping that it doesnt happen again and it didnt...drove it up a couple blocks went into the store got back in an drove normal..

when i swapped my motor my uncle said that i have a year left on the clutch set up...what else can it be bad clutch cylinder...what else ????

You can check the cylinders for fluid leakage. If there's no leakage, then they are probably ok.

To me it sounds like a clutch issue. How many miles on the clutch and what kind of use does it see?

Meaning check slave and master Cylinder in right?

Idk how many miles but when I swapped the motor my uncle (mechanic) said I have around a year
left on my clutch system and that was a month ago..

And daily use don't really beat on the car maybe 5 times over a 4 month period time never raced it.

Ya check those out.

Actually now that I read your post again, it could very well have been the trans popping out of gear. Did the gear lever move at all when this happened?

When it happened the gear didn't pop out I quickly took it out of the 1st gear position and put it in neutral then stopped fully

Clutch going out because even with no fluid your clutch can still lock up n work for first gear. Friction disc wear n slips because its worn n can't grab the fly wheel so it free spins n rom goes up
