EVERY OTHER DAY OR SO ON MY WAY TO WORK - MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON - WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU CAN FEEL A POWER DROP BUT THE CAR KEEPS RUNNING. YOU CAN TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTART AND THE LIGHT GOES AWAY. WHEN YOU CHECK THE COMPUTER FOR BLINKING LIGHTS THERE ARE NO CODES SHOWING...

THIS USUALLY HAPPENS ABOUT 10 MINUTES DRIVING AFTER THE ENGINE HAS WARMED UP... MAKES ME THINK IT COULD BE THE COOLANT SENSOR BUT NOT CERTAIN SINCE I GET NO CODES..

Can you try another ECU? Any other conditions (rev limit at 3500 rpm, etc.)?

I have received codes in the past - about a year ago when the when the OS2 sensor went bad... The ECU light blinks normal blink... blink... blink... continually but no codes when this happens.

Only happens when I am driving 3 to 4 miles down the road when going to work once or twice a week. When the light comes on you can feel the engine power drop. I can pull over and turn off the ignition and it restarts fine and the check engine light goes out. Do you think it could be the ignition switch?
