f22c1 seized, able to reuse block?
I've only had the car for two months and the engine seized on thanksgiving night after the low oil pressure light came on for a split second. The block is now completely disassembled. The thrust washers came loose and lodged itself between the block and the crankshaft I guess due to low oil pressure. The oil pickup strainer was clogged with some black plastic scraps. I'm still not sure where that black plastic came from. I didn't have time to take it to the machine shop for evaluation Friday night but I took some pictures. I'm trying to figure out if the engine block is still able to be used for the rebuild. Any input would be helpful.

Look at the bearings, are they damaged? The black plastic may be bearing material, looks exactly like the oil-screen picture, and it feels like plastic too (but its not).
If your block was otherwise in good condition, you should be able to re-use the block. But judging from the damaged, you would have to take the block apart to figure it out. The thrust washer lodging also increases the possibility o the piston making contact with the cylinder(s). Did it? or are the cylinder walls still clean?
If they're still clean, you'll just need new main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washer, crank, and oil pump. Also make sure you flush your motor our if you re-use it, to make sure you don't have debris floating around. Good luck

Thanks for the info. There were some marks on the skirt of the pistons and there was also a scratch on one of the cylinder walls that was light. I'll take pictures of the cylinder walls and bearings then update the pictures tonight.
