B series swap in a 88 crx si...axel problems!!
Hey there Honda tech!!..Im currently doing a b18 swap in my 88 crx si..I have b series axels..90-93 Acura da axels and a 90 da half shaft..my problem is is that the half shaft won't fit my drivers side axel..the passenger axel fits in perfectly though!!..does anybody know what the problem can be??..and also..I have a crx si shift linkage on the shell of my car and a ls shift linkage on my tranny..can I use them both or what would I need to do to get it to work?....I need as much info and help as possible..can someone please help me out?!?..thanks
Cut and weld the bseries linkage to fit.. The axles from the da should fit if you remove your dust rings from the hubs are you sure you have the right axles and half shaft?
I bought brand new b series axels..90-93..I read up on them and a lot of people said that those axels were the right ones that would fit my b18a motor and my 88 crx..so I went to the junkyard and got a half shaft off a 1990 5 speed da..the half shaft fits on my motor but my axel won't fit in my half shaft..is there a certain way they go into the half shaft or do i have the wrong one?..I have no idea. -__-

Does your axle go into the mid-shaft....but not all the way in? or are the splines so different that it doesnt even start going in at all? if the splines match but it doesnt go all the way in...then you need to grab the axle fron the center and try quick "snap" into the mid-shaft to get the end clip to compress enough to go the rest of the way. If you try and shove it slowly...it wont work. Quick and hard snap will do the trick. that is...if the splines on the axle and the mid-shaft match up
My axels are on the right side..I didn't put them in wrong..and yea my driver side axel goes in the half shaft just alittle..then stops because of that circle pin or washer..is there a way I can compress it so it will just slide right in?..beacause that's what's stoppin it from goin any further
Are you absolutely sure you have the correct axles on the correct sides?

And if it is just the circlip are you installing the axle with the open end of the circlip facing DOWN?
