CRX Tranny or clutch prob.
Ok first off i have a 90 CRX Si with a stock motor. The car was driving fine all day until i got to this Stop sign on my way home. After i stopped, when i tried to put it in to first to go again i couldnt put it in gear. My foot was on the clutch but i could not put it into any gear. So i turned off my car and now i CAN put it in gear. So i let in the clutch, put it in first, then start up my car and it sounds like my clutch isnt fully engaged, even tho my foot is all the way down on the clutch. When i start the car and my foots all the way down on the clutch and its in first, i can hear like a whirring noise, kind of like the clutch is not fully out, and its slightly grabbing. So i just try n drive home since i live close to there. Then, about 3 minutes of driving i came to a stop light, stepped on the clutch n took it outta gear. When the light turned green, i shut off my car, stepped on the clutch n put it in first, this time when i started the car, even tho my foot was on the clutch all the way the car started moving because the clutch for some reason was grabbing half way...Anyone had this problem or know WTF it is n how to fix it?
sounds like the clutch cable.. if not then it's the clutch
have someone press the clutch while you look under the hood and see if the cable is moving..

Anyways, checked the clutch cable n everything external, nothing wrong. Took out the tranny n found out one of the springs on the clutch disc popped out n was lidged between the the clutch disc and the pressure plate. Currently in the process of finishing the installation of my new clutch... Guess no more hard driving till i find a job
