Hey Guys Been a while.. But i have a 1996 GS-R. Slowly i have been working on the car fixing every little leak and Sensor.. I do have a check engine light but. yea.. my question is I recently Broke My Tranny i don't know how . but it was leaking Tranny oil.. But I ended up gettng a rebuilt Tranny.. So all i dandy MY car is running no problems.. Know the question My mechanic that installed it for me said that my tranny is missing a "Transmission Mount" My Mechanic said "Thats why your Tranny broke" I also asked My Friend who has 8+ Years working on B-Series motors.. I asked him if i needed that Transsmission mount.. he said i dont need it..
So what do you guys think??

you mean the torque mount that sits on the front side near the radiator?
no you don't need that.
*should note, as long as you have a back mount and it's fine, you really don't need it.

for comfort reasons. four mounts (or even three) that are little stiffer would be fine. run 5 mounts with soft rubber for comfort.
to add, if op would put in a insert in his back mount, he wouldn't need the two front torque mounts. yea, i know that was point less info cause op didn't ask for that or ask for info pertaining it. just wanted to throw that in.

i'd clean the outside of the transmission case where you see fluid, check you fluid level (top off with honda manual trans fluid, which is sold @ dealership), and check it again after a day or two to find out where it's leaking and go from there.
any way you can take pics of where it's leaking?
