Gsr trans trans in 5th shifter moves through gears. Help?
I have a 97 civic ex with a b20z2 and gsr trans.
I slowed to make a turn on the road where I live and when I shifted down, as I let out the clutch the car lockup. I quickly responded and the shifter wil move through 1-4 but 5th is solid. I have did a lot of research and can't seem to over come these symptoms resolved. I have check around the car, seen a driveshaft boot is leaking grease, well freshly spun grease on trans. Passenger side. Also just found out I had a leaking clutch slave cylinder. Have replaced, will bleed today. Would a slave cylinder have cause on this issue? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you check the fluid level to make sure you did not run it low on fluid? 5th gear is on the very outermost part of the transmission and the first to burn up when run low on fluid.

Well I have the trans opened.. Come to find out when I went to drain the trans hardly anything came out. Looking over the gears and all everything looks fine. First time really with a trans. Bin through tons of research. The problem I am having with the trans is the 5th/r fork will engage into reverse but it never seem to come out of 5th. As it slides back down, it won't go down in order to get it on neutral. I'm really tryn to gain knowledge, and get this problem solved. All comments are appreciated.
