Need help with with battery forgot which way the should be put in.. is the positive on the left and negative on the 1991 honda accord dx.

 

It's best to look at the battery terminals to see which is + (red) and - (black).

 

Older cars have often had the battery cables replaced with no regard for red or black and occasionally even switched if there was an extra cable laying around at the time. So just trace the wire that runs to ground (the fender or engine block). That would be the negative. The one that runs to the starter is the positive.
