93 Prelude Si Wiring Issue Advice
So my friend busted his tire on a curb and thought it'd be alright to drive a couple blocks home on the rim... Then the car shut down on him and now won't start... Its trying to start but will not... Any advice will be much appreciated...

I realize there is alot of damage to the harness, and I'm just trying to figure out which sections of the harness will need replaced if not the whole thing... Problem is he just moved cross country and will lose the only job he had without his car.. Plus no money... Any moments of your time are greatly appreciated....

I should clarify that this is damage that occured when then damaged tires started taking out the fender liner on the drivers front wheel... Then it destroyed the harness that is running behind the fender and looks to me like it pulled out a portion of the harness that runs through the firewall like so....
Are there seperate pieces of the harness or is it one single harness? Which pieces will I need... It seems like it would be really hard to figure out which pieces go where...
Did it rip the connectors out of the fuse box? I agree with heading to the junkyard. Pull the fender liner off the donor and carefully remove the entire harness. It's gonna be a bitch to fix, since there are most likely torn wires inside an out on your buddy's car.
No offense but I hope this is a lesson well learned for everybody.

Hey really appreciate your advice and its pretty much what I was thinking... I know that wiring diagrams and such aren't going to be much help in this reconstruction, the only thing that would probably help is the removal process from a donor (if you could find one) and lots of pics during that PITA... He doesn't really know much about cars and its been a hard pill for him to swallow...
I haven't really had a good chance to get down and dirty checking it out, but I was hoping somebody would know the different pieces to the harness and what it looks like i need! Its one of those things where you really don't know where to look for damage cause it straight ripped the harness OUT... It looks like some from the engine bay, some from the under dash, and that fender area, but its hard to really tell and the the old harness is such a rats nest that you really can't even start tracing the wires to their locations AT ALL... Wish me luck and if anyone can chime in, that'd be great...

I haven't checked to see if the ECU was still plugged in or not, but good eye sir, that will be the first thing I will do! As well as the fuse box and a little more investigation!
There are engine circuits that run through there (egr and cruise), headlight, turn signal and fog light circuits, plus I'm sure there are a few more. I would almost tear out the rest of the affected harnesses still in the car to give you an idea of what you're dealing with. I hope it's not his only car as it will take you a couple full days to sort everything out. If you don't think it's something you guys can tackle on your own I wouldn't take it anywhere other than the dealership or a Honda specialist as they are more likely to take the time to fix it right. But then you'd be spending some serious money.
He should see if insurance covers damages caused by a blowout, without takin his negligence into account...
In the meantime, disconnect the battery so you don't damage anything still in the car, exposed wiring is never a good thing... Pick up a good soldering iron, some wire and a shitload of heat shrink and liquid electrical tape. Make sure the repairs are sealed from the elements!
Get the wiring diagrams for the whole car or get your hands on a helms. They have pictures showing where the harnesses are on the car.
Good luck, I hope you get it running again!

after just doing my f20b swap and having to redo a harness. I would highly recommend just purchasing a new harness from a junkyard or online. Saves much time and headache.
