torque mounts issues
just put in a gsr into a 94 civic ex with hassport 62a mounts and having problems getting the torque mounts back on. is it ok to run it without the torque mounts? any ideas how to get the torque mounts on.
Its is okay to run the two main side mounts and rear mount by themselves with the Hasport mounts.
But, you can always run the torque mounts to be on the safe side and to possible stop any engine movement that still may exist.

the thing is I can't get the torque mounts to line up and bolt on. I don't know if I'm hallucinating but I think I can feel the engine rocking. planning on boosting it next month dont know if it will handle. anyone out there ever boosted a bseries without the torque mounts on?
Did you try swapping the left and right torque mounts?
If they are on the wrong sides they will not line up.
The mount (rubber part) with the longer bolt hole should go on the driver side.
The mount that is more narrow goes on the passenger side

I wouldnt suggest running without them, however, for the time being just be easy on the car.
When installing torque mounts, you need to lower the engine a little bit to slip the torque mount onto the bracket which is bolted to the motor to clear the frame rails. Well, the two times I removed and reinstalled torque mounts I did and install was a breeze.

some say its ok to leave them off some say its not ok. is there anyone who left the torque mounts off and ran into issues like breaking rear trans mount etc.?

Reviving for others that may find this thread on a Google search. I had to loosen the driver side motor mount to remove and install the new torque mount, then tighten almost all the way back to line up bolt holes. Passenger side, had to remove two of the three bolts mounted to trans to drop enough to remove and install.
