They both do pretty much the same thing so it's whichever you choose.
thanks for the help guys... so like you said on my other post would the z6 cam gear work insted of chipping it or will i be better off by chipping it with the y8 basemap?? thanks again!
if you use the z6 cam gear, you're on your own... I want to try it when I get my b16 going lol.

q31 being burnt won't usually effect drive ability. q31 controls evap.
When q31 is burnt on the ecu, you likely mixed up evap and intake air temperature sensor engine harness plugs in the engine bay. Your intake air temperature sensor is likely damaged.
Verify your intake air temperature sensor wiring & inspect/replace the sensor.

Yeah that could amount to a lot of problems you have two choices here. Replace the ECU with a good one or you can buy the components that are fried out, re-solder them on and trace the circuits that are fried out and install a small wire to where ever they go. I don't recommend option 2 since it requires extensive skills to trace and replace

hopefully this time not burnt...
The cap in the lower left corner can be replaced. Most likely it leaked on the board. Clean and inspect the area around it. Q31 makes no difference if its blown or not.
