Default transmission help. gsr

Long story short . I burned out my clutch from racing..oh well **** happens. People make mistakes. Anyways ive decided on exedy clutch stage 1. Cause of reviews and ****. My question is do I need a hydraulic or cable clutch.. and can I use a stock gsr flywheel with it?

Ps would I be able to tell over stock.. (not exactly trust my mech.)

Thanks in advance

You have a hydro transmission if it is all stock. Do you need to bleed a clutch line? If so, then you have Hydro.

I assume your stock transmission is still good and you're simply replacing the clutch and potentially the flywheel?

Anyways I had that setup on my 96 GSR. Exedy stage 1 clutch and a fidanza 8 pound flywheel.

If I could go back I would have resurfaced my stock flywheel and kept it. The lightweight flywheels are nice when you are banging through gears, but as a DD It can become annoying at times. The pressure plate on the stage 1 is slightly heaver, which will make the clutch feel a bit heavier than stock.

oh sweet thanks for the info.. but yea man i think ima just get the flywheel resurfaced. i heard its better to have a modified engine if ima rock a lighter flywheel... but ive never had to bleed my clutch ..so im not sure what kinda tranny it is...its all stock motor tho..thats for sure.

All B series hydro transmission use the same clutch, meaning they are all interchangeable. 94-01 Integra's are all hyrdo system.

I would just resurface your stock flywheel. No need of a lightweight flywheel unless your doing some mad autocross.
