Icon2 1st car, need opinions plz!

I just got my first car, its a 2003 honda civic si. Wanted to get manual tranny but parents made me go for automatic.
Either way, I still want to do some modifications to my car, nothing extreme but small things that would make it look nice and clean. Right now my car is completely stock.
I was thinking of lowering it a couple inches but I do not have car knowledge so I don't know what kind of springs to get or anything. I also wanted to get some HID lights.
Basically, just need some opinions on cheaper modifications I could start doing now while I save up money for the bigger ones in the future.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I can't add pictures because Im a free member, but its silver and has a silver spoiler right now (not sure if I should keep it orr take it off)

Trust me, don't go for the cheaper modifications first. Save up for coilovers and camber kits first. Then go for the exterior mods like fog lights, grill, lip, etc.

Please look through the FAQ's regarding potential modifications, here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/faqs-guidelines-read-before-posting-2101211/

As for "cheap" modifications... your budget will dictate how quickly you can build the car, but I would avoid "cheap" parts.

We're all "free" members. There is no paid membership aside from being a sponsor.

As for posting pictures, read this: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2860092

As for opinions on what you should do to your car, well, that's a decision which is ultimately up to you. You may want to review the picture thread and see what others have done to their cars. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/official-em2-es1-es2-picture-thread-1-1-a-2989746/

What you do is based on your own personal taste and budget. Be forewarned, there are no real "cheap" modifications. Aside from an eBay mesh grill or DIY blacked out headlights, that is.

Save your money until you've done your research. If you go wild spending money now, you will most like buy something you will replace in the future.
