Strange problem after warm up
Hey
Okay, I have a build h22 with Dartons cp 11.5:1 pistons skunk2 pro 2 cams. Also have the euro r intake + 68mm TB, aem v2 filter and hytech replica exhaust and 550cc injectors + walbro 255 fuelpump.
Car makes around 260hp/263Nm so pretty decent I think :-)
Thing is if the car is cold it fires up after few seconds no problem.
But If it's warm and I've been driving like 30km and stop the car. And then will fire it back up, it hesitates a lot. Earlier I Parked the car and then wanted to take off it would not start.. Had the starter going for like 15secs over like 3 times, before it would start. And when it does start it feels like it's running on 3 cylinders, feels really rough but only for 5secs then every thing is good..
Basically it starts like **** when warmed up, but if cold every thing is good.. Compression is fine and it still makes around 260hp
Anyone know what's wrong? Thought about lack of pressure? But not sure
Looking forward to hear from you

I wonder if you have an injector leaking a bit internally when warm, and it drips a bit of fuel until it cools off. That would make it run really rich until the excess fuel is burnt off and expelled.
If you have a wideband, it would read really rich at that point, then lean out to your normal idle.
Or maybe your cranking enrichment is super rich at that engine coolant temp, doing pretty much the same thing.

Thanks for your reply, hmm I think the fuel cranking thing is set to 5% in hondata, when it starts up? Maybe that would cause the problem.
What about the main relay would that cause the problem ? Had the relay resoldered few years ago

Yes, it could possibly be a main relay prob. Given all the work that
you have done on this new setup so far it could just as likely be
some little bug that still needs resolving. Re: Main Relay, just before
mine died it had similiar symptons to what you have now. When hot it
would sometimes just shut down completely until car had cooled again.
I went with a new main relay rather than repairing the old one and have
not had any problems since. GL with it man.

Yea stopping at the gas station to fill her up, it always sux to get her started again.. Not funny to drive with at all :/
Let's say it's the main relay,
The walbro pump makes a bit of noise and I can always tell if the pump ran and builded up pressure
But will it run if the relay is bad?
Also worth saying that I changed the ignitor + some big black module inside the distributor
