Default 93 accord won't start

First, tell me if my sparkplug boot should be covered in oil? i had replaced a timing belt and water pump and then on a drive home the car just quit. I thought that since i had trouble with the tensioners on the belt maybe a belt had come loose. Took everything back off to check belts and nothing strange there. Put it back together and it still won't do nothing. In the course of taking it back apart i noticed that one of the boots was covered in oil. Now before i dive back into it does anybody have any words of wisdom? these things sit so low and are so crammed in there that i don't like messing with them but can't afford a shop to do it.
Thanks
Mark

Did you use a new valve cover gasket kit and replace the spark plug tube seals?

I highly doubt that the no start issue has anything to do with the oil in the SP tube though. Do you have fuel and spark when trying to start the car?

Spark plug tube being wet with oil could be from leaking upper spark plug tube seal on the valve cover or from the lower tube seal on, he camshaft bearing cap/rocker arm holder. With the no start, were you driving and it shut off and didn't start again or you shut it off after driving and won't start again?

It shut off while it was running. There were no strange noises or anything, like something broke or went terribly wrong, it just coasted to a stop. No i did not replace any of the sp seals.

If you have any soldering skills, you can fix most main relays for under $5.

Just like what GhostAccord said check for fuel and spark. Fuel, could be main relay, fuel injectors resistors, fuel pump. For spark, it could be your dizzy components and coil. You said you already check your timing so you can eliminate that. Also check the ecu ground on the thermostat housing the bolt might have come loose.
