Post easiest jdm engine swap for 96 accord...???

ok so i been having some issues with my car its a 96 accord wagon lx and to be honest im tired of knick knackin and screwing around with higher mileage engines, trannys nd parts! so im looking into a jdm engine, im NOT doing it to build a race car or show off to my friends that my vtak just kicked in yo! i want a reliabe daily driven swap that is plug and play or very minor modifaction! so i figured put a stock f22b non vtec in it and it would be plug and play then i realized the jdm f22b non vtec engine has an internal coil and crank pos sensor in the dizzy my usdm 96 has external coil and crank pos sensor on the block so i figured i could use my harness,my dizzy, and wire in crank pos sensor on block and should be fine without any codes! then i saw a f20b and considered that for the couple extra dollars its a obd2 engine and i figured i would only have to change harness nd computer?! if so wat harness and comp would i use could i get mine chipped? and without using my harness and pinning vtec could i use a ex harness? or how bout a f23a? i saw they have crank pos sensor on block and figured i could get a computer nd harness and that would be plug and play too?! i have a decent amount of knowledge and dont wana build something crazy jus fumbling with ideas rite now any input or tips would be grt8 thnx...

Are you wanting to stay obd2? If that isn't an issue get an ex harness, and an ecu conversion harness (obd2a< obd1) and get a chipped p28 like I did for my h22 swap. Might as well just drop an h22a4 in there since its nearly plug and play.

i was thinkning that also!so even if i went non v could i use obd1 -engine,harness,and then the step down to a obd1 computer? would that throw a check engine light? or would that cancel out whole obd2 system(serial port) and all? my main concern is not having a check engine light cause i need it off to pass emmisions where i live if i make it obd1 and they plug it up for emmisions would that be a problem?

Don't search or read the Accord FAQ's at all or bother reading the hundreds of swap guides on the internet.

Easiest thing is exactly as you thought the f22b sohc non vtec engine. You would be using your distributor, harness and ecu so your concerns are non concerns.

As far as that sensor you can swap your oil pump over or wire the jdm distributor up to work.

ok so the usdm dizzy will fit in the jdm head? and i was just in the junkyard the other day and took off timing cover on a usdm 94 obd 1 f22 and the slots and threads were there to put crank sensor on is the jdm the same? or is that why you have to change pump cause there not there? or do i have to change oil pump regardless cause there is a difference in obd 1 to 0bd 2 pumps internally?
