2001 CRV trans/torque converter issue
So I just purchased a CRV from one of my good friend's dad. They have had the crv for quite some time, trans has never slipped but he said it has been dying at stop lights and stop signs.
Well I bought it and towed it home. Thinking it might just be a distributor issue. I try to start it and the car lunges forward like it's in gear. It is an automatic and I tried it in park and neutral. I'm guessing the torque converter is locked up. Any ideas or input? Thanks.

that exactly what it sounds like. Now you need to see if the tcc solenoid is getting power when it's not supposed to. Have you tried pulling codes yet?
lol I'm an idiot... I checked for top dead center and left the ratchet on the crank pulley, so when I tried to start it was hitting the axle, making the car move forward.
