Default Towing with a J swap?

Alright so I've long decided on a J swap than I'm planning and was thinking lately... Can I tow things with a J35 engine inside a CRX? I mean, the Ridgeline has a J35 and it can tow.

The ridgeline is A TRUCK. A Crx is a commuter car. That would be like asking if the ridgeline has the same towing capacity as an F250/F350.

Now hold on. I never asked if I could tow LIKE a ridgeline. I just asked if I'll be able to tow something. Like maybe a small travel trailer.

Yes. Go ahead and put even more stress on the unibody than the j series already puts on it by adding a trailer to it.

Hell, might as well take the hatch off and attach a third wheel to it. That way, you can tow better things

Maybe I'm looking for a more serious answer instead of your sarcastic remarks. And I can just reinforce the unibody with stiffeners.

Well, maybe if you didn't start post whoring on this site and coming up with these ridiculous threads, I wouldn't have a reason to be sarcastic. (Wheels pin when vtec hits, what's going on?!, what exhaust fit my motor?, I wanna put a j30 in my car so I can have better towing capacity with my CRX, MY LITTLE 2 SEATER CAR THAT A CHIHUAHUA COULD KICK AROUND WITH EASE.)

Actually I wanted to put a J35 in my car NOT because it gives me more towing capacity. But because it's cheaper than a K series and has more power stock to stock than B, H, F or D series engines.

So you mean to tell me that it's easier to a V6 into a Crx than an inline 4? Hell, even an H series motor has more space than a J series.

If you want to tow something small just buy a small truck it will be cheaper and not retarded.

Yes you can tow with a CRX, just not very much. I have logged over 10k miles towing a tire trailer with a CRX and there are tons of others that tow small trailers all the time with a Civic/CRX/Integra. In my opinion about 500lbs is about the most I would feel comfortable with but I have seen others towing closer to 1000lbs.
