i have an acura with the 1.7 non/vtec. not looking to race just blown motor. what will fit into my car with lil to no head ache. i hear lots of engines will swap, just dont quiet understand which will and which ones are more work. any help would be apperciated. thank you

not for sure what it is... from a lil research i believe its a B series18A1.... tranny??... yeah it has one...lol.. i dont know squat about motors, just fell in love wit this car and heard many motors will get me back in it. just not sure what will fit, courious about my options. no where lookin for more than stock type speed.... she fast enough

 

i keepin learnin bunches... more i learn the more i am confused. is it safe to say not a vtech engine, pretty sure. i think a 1.7 is vtech so i may have 1.8. think a Bseriers18A1 any idea if i am on right track??? safe to say alot Bseries engines will fit?? say outta a civic??

Just drive your car, it's clear you have no idea what you have. B18a1 is a 1.8 liter non vtec engine. You say you don't want a headache, then do not mod your car. Modding cars creates headaches.

 

not tryin to mod....yet... just need a new motor...lol, love drivin this one but motor locked up with no oil...opps... just tryin to find info... thank you for any info ya can help with.... tryin to find used motor so i can get back to work... just wonderin which motors will fit...

 

any and every honda engine will fit with enough knowledge. you obviously dont have any, so find another b18a1.

U can pay for a shop to do it or tackle it yourself, b20 swaps are common, they come from Honda crv's not really big difference but it's worth a shot, little to no modifications needed too.

yeah, i'd go with the same motor you do have. it's not that costly and a very reliable motor. Best thing you can do for now

 

try a b18c1 lmao
