Default EG Civic w/B18C1 Alternator Upgrade Required?

I'll be installing an Alpine PDX-M6 (600x1) which will be running an Alpine SWR-T12 flat subwoofer. Will also be running a Alpine MRX-F30 (150x2 RMS) running a set of components. No speakers will be running off the deck and I won't have any other crazy electronics (no LCD screens or anything). The only other thing I can think of is I'll be running a 35w HID bi-xenon retrofit kit.

I won't be pushing the system hard, won't be running it without the engine on, etc. Do I need to think about upgrading my alternator or maybe upgrade the battery?

Thanks!

I am running a Kenwood Excelon 1400 watt amp in my gsr swapped hatch with a capacitor with no problems and I push my systems hard!! I do upgrade my batteries to a optima deep cycle in all my cars but I am still running a old ever start battery.

I have never upgraded my alt on any of my cars and the 1400 watt is my smallest system. Like I mentioned, if anything just get you a deep cycle

Thank you for the quick response! I'll go ahead and purchase a Optima battery when I install the system. Thanks!

A "bigger" batt. will only add play time when engine is not running, the only way to increase power, [currant] is to install a "bigger" alt.

It takes over 125A to produce 900W RMS, a cap on the sub amp will help, [a lot] a bigger batt. will help, [a little] a bigger alt. is the only way to increase power. 94

Thanks for the info everyone. I guess I'll just see how things go and upgrade if required.

How many amps is a B18C1 alternator anyways?
