i got a 91 and the other day driving on the highway i was getting off an exit and right when i hit the brakes my check engine light came on and off right away. then about a mile down the road the car did like a quick spudder. then coming home it did it 3 more times but no engine light. i changed the fuel filter bc i knew it needed it plus i thought that might be the issue. after that i drove it again and i got 2 spudders but very light not like the original ones. any ideas or experience with this? maybe bad gas? plugs?

Mine was better after putting in strong fuel inj cleaner, Dist cap Rotor, etc.
