Default Crickets from my engine?

Just a quick question, maybe someone's heard of it before I start digging. My 90 crx si has had a b18b1+gsr tranny swap (bought it that way, looks like they didnt care just threw together) and when I give it over half throttle at any speed it has a whistle or cricket type sound for a second or a few seconds depending on how hard I gas it. Could be just a vacuum line not hooked up or leaking?

It has a short ram intake, but where the short tube connects to the rubber piece on the tb is just shoved in, not tightened in any way. Could that just be suckin air around the tube during acelleration?

Most B series I've heard with an intake, make that sound when given a certain throttle percentage.
