Default Transmission conversion - problem with driverside axle

I have a 91 crx that i put a b16 in and have now done a hydraulic transmissoin conversion using 98 spec type r trans. I am now having a issue with my driverside axle being roughly a inch or so too short causing it to pull apart inside the boot causing it to bind up. i'm running the same axle and half shaft that was in the car when it had a cable trans in it. i have also tried using a hydraulic half shaft and 95 gsr axle with that same results. Any help or advice would be great. thanks

Default Re: Please help with transmission conversion

I recall seeing a thread not too long ago showing the difference between a left and right side axle. The transmission and half shaft side between the two had something like an inch extra of spline length. Are your axles like this? Maybe you have two of the same axle?

EDIT: added picture, linked from "jlicrx" (let me know jlicrx if you want me to remove the link)
