Default Headlight dimming.

Hey guys, i ran into a problem today and im not quite sure what to do to fix it, but tonight as i was about to drive home, i turned my headlights on and i noticed one of them was very very dim, it almost looked like it was off. i have aftermarket halo lights with 8000k hids installed in them, so sometimes they surge out. thinking that it was that, i turned them off, and turned them on again, but again, only one was really bright, while the other was very very dim. i took out the hids and but in stock halogens an still the same problem, one headlight is fine, while the other is dim to the point that it looks off. is this fixable, or am i going to have to get another headlight?

there is a little yellowish box on the headlight harness, right next to them, has like 3-4 wires i think rinning to it, with a metal bracket on top for a 10mm bolt, It's a headlight ground and if its not bolted to the car it will make your headlights not work. its not very big, couple inches square.
