So I'm doing a 5 speed swap in my 97 EX 4 cyl. And is it imperative that I get a 5 speed ECU also? or will it be okay to just use the one thats in now? what will it do besides throwing a CEL? Also, if I do need the manual ECU can I just get a used one that is for the manual version of my car? or do I have to get it programmed to fit my exact car (you know give them my VIN and they set it up for my exact car)?
One more thing, where can I get a good manual transmission at a good price?
