my 98 automatic integra got stolen and recovered but now SPEEDOMETER doesn't work!?

Default my 98 automatic integra got stolen and recovered but now SPEEDOMETER doesn't work!?

so my sisters 98 automatic integra sedan got stolen a few months back and recovered...but now the speedometer doesn't work? what can it be? please help.

Just the mph doesn't work I believe. What could they have done when they took it for a joyride that would do this? The only damage that I see to the car is that they scraped into something on the drivers front side of the bumper area?

maybe check your speed sensor on the tranny? that would do it.

VSS means speed sensor right? where is this speed sensor located? i will check it out...

Yes... vehicle speed sensor

Its on top of tranny on the rear side, You can google the VSS and you'll have a idea what your looking for.

Top of tranny, near tranny motor mount. Cant miss it.

is there any way to find out if its really that VSS before i go and buy one then come to find out thats not the problem? can i use a obd2 scanner?

Do you have cruse control, if so does it still work?

If so, then it is not the VSS.

Your OBD2 scanner should tell you if you have VSS signal. 94
