got a question. got a 98 coupe that randomly just wont start.

i disconnected the small wire going to the solenoid and hooked a multimeter from that the negative post of the battery (think that was the right way?) and had some one turn the key and got 0 volts. so i guess im just not getting power to the solenoid.

does anyone have a wiring diagram that shows everything from the key to the solenoid so i can see if i can figure it out?

whats the trick to starting it with a screw driver do you just jumper the two big wires together? cause i got to get to work tomorrow.

 

is it automatic or manual?

if it is manual, make sure you have the clutch pedal pressed ALL the way in. and do it a couple times. It could be you clutch pedal safety switch going out.

If it is auto, try putting it in neutral. It may be your neutral safety switch going out.

Or pull the started and take it to a parts store or shop to have it tested and go from there.

I am assuming you have a healthy battery

 

make sure its in part or neutral and you jumper the BIG RED WIRE to the little wire. use a good sized screwdriver and dont hold it there to long.
