Default 95 civic headlights dim.

Hello all! I just bought a 95 civic. One of the things i have noticed since driving this vehicle is the brightness and aim of the front headlamps. They are not very bright at all, and seem to point just about 10 ft in front of the car and straight into the ground. I thought at first that the headlamps may be very worn and need replacing or refinishing.. but the look very clean and almost new to me. Im really not sure where to even start. should i just replace the bulbs? or should I try to adjust the headlamps? Your input will be most appreciated.

Replace with brighter bulbs, and aim the headlights.

This!!! I put some new bulbs in which made a world of a difference but like you said they still only shined light about ten feet in front of the car. I adjusted the headlights and they light up the road as well as my Lexus now.
