Me and this motor go WAY back and this is it's 3rd rebuild, and hopefully the last.
This motor was originally a 85mm LSV with the same Alaniz head and had Weisco super duper pistons with a comp ratio of 13ish to 1. I do want to add that this was SOME time ago as this was around the same time Headertech was still in business and we bought one of their headers for the build at the time. Got everything together and took it to the track only to not hit Vtec because the screen was clogged. Took it home and began to take it apart. My brother kept the block and I kept the head.
I put the head on a poor man type r build and my brother had all the machine work done to the block, bought the pistons, bearings etc then got out of the scene and gave me the whole set up. I pieced it together with 85mm RS Machine Type R pistons and I was off and running, until the timing belt snapped and bent up some valves. I popped the head off to find a few bad valves and noticed some unhappy signs on the cylinder walls, shiny spots. So I broke it all down and began the current build.
The list is below and I went into a lot of detail while some of the stuff doesn't apply to the build.
The head is an Alaniz OG head with competition head work
Intake manifold is a Skunk OG intake manifold that was also worked over by Alaniz, opened up to 70mm, ported and recently shaved and powder coated silver metallic
Hondata gasket
Skunk Alpha 70mm throttle body powder coated silver metallic
It was dynoed with a AEM 3 inch CAI powder coated silver metallic with a blox velocity stack capped with a K&N filter.
Valves, springs, retainers, valve seals, keepers etc are all Supertech
Replaced at the time of the rebuild were the LMAs, replaced with the new style
Curently running Skunk Tuner 3 cams
Skunk cam gears set at 0/0
MSD SCI ignition with a brand new cap and rotor
MSD 8mm wires
Running RC 440cc injectors that were sent to them for cleaning and what not a few thousand ago
Headertech header with a 3inch flange that has been ceramic coated and has a carb plate from a H22 DC sports header welded on
Exhaust is a Kteller kit with a Vibrant muffler with a test pipe. Straight through and loud
Engine is a B18B with darton sleeves bored out to 86mm
Running Supertech pistons
Eagle rods
All new OEM bearings, pumps, gaskets etc
Golden Eagle headgasket and LSV kit
Engine was balanced and blue printed through and through
I went through the tranny, which is a stock GSR trans with a Quaife LSD with stock gears, to check any issues and non were found. I tore it apart, put new seals, put 2 new magnets in and sealed it back up with Hondabond.
The engine was tuned at DNR on 91 pump gas. I was looking for the dyno earlier but I can't find the damn thing but it did put out 226/156 which I am more than happy with
On with the picts-

The day after the dyno I put it into sleeper mode by putting on the stock valve cover and put on my Iceman shorty because it started raining here.
