B18 c2 main bearing clearances?
Hey guys, I currently pulled the cylinder head of my partners 94 honda integra vti-r with a b18c2 motor due to a burnt out valve a oil consumption issues.
While the head was off I removed the pistons and honed the cylinders a replaced the bearings, rings etc.
Now I'm at the point where I'm reassembling the motor and I'm stuck with the main bearing clearances. I'm getting a reading of .003 which I'm aware is out of spec on the loose scale.
Will I be safe to assume being mains I will be ok running a slightly thicker oil? Or will I be needing to pull the motor out of the car a send the crank to be ground? ( would like Tk avoid this at all costs)
