oem vs energy suspension bushings?
Im curious i want to replace all the fro t and rear bushing on my lower control arms do you guys recommend oem dealer ones or energy suspension polyurethane ones?
^^^^^^agree
If its going to be used as a track car ie (circuit or 1/4 mile) I would suggest energy suspension getting them installed. they really do offer a great stiff feel and better for overall driving of the car since its more solid. If the car is just for dd I would just stick with oem ones.

I put every energy suspension bushing I could find for my Lude and it's a DD, but it was a lot of work and many tools required too. If you r all about the "drivers experience" and don't have a problem with a stiffer ride and enjoy hitting turns, then it maybe worth it for you!
Poly bushigns are way better than the oem ones, although if you have base prelude then it may be harder to find the LCA frame side bushings in Polyeurethane, as htey are smaller than the SH.
well its a 94 i have full coilovers front and rear sway bars front and rear strut bars and mainly use it as a dd but from time to time i take it to the track reason why i asked is because they have never been replaced figured i might as well replace em thats why im like ehhh what would i enjoy more i love the stiffness but i hate the sound of someone hitting the bottom of my car with a hammer...
Go with energy suspension. If you don't have a press or torches I would have somebody do it for you... You can always pull the arms out and take them to a shop to be pressed out. The poly ones are three piece and slide in easily so you could do that part yourself.

It's not that stiff man, but a big heads up I don't know where u live but I'm in the south but was in new York too with the car and it's a 97 and things didn't want to come off to easy, I have almost an endless supply of tools and I just ended up replaceing every part of my suspension b/c things didnt want to come off, had bolts breaking, parts stuck together and Etc etc, (i planned on doing a lot of replacing of parts just didn't know how much trouble it would give me or fun lol)I would go with energy suspension and plan on maybe running into some problems! U have to have a torch and a press for sure!!
You may be lucky with bolts... I only had one seized on my 92... It was the trailing arm to control arm bolt in the rear. My car has been rustproofed several times and mostly stored in the winters during its 20 years though and that was a big advantage as far as pulling things apart went.
poly bushings are junk. If you track the car they crack and get all sort of fucked up because they have no sleeve around them light a bushing should. I know from experience. They also make your ride bouncy. I would recommend hardrace pressed in bushings. similar to oem but with better quality and stiffer rubber.
Ive tried both types. just my two cents
