Default Help on my 99 Civic

Hi, I am new in this forum and hopefully i can get some info about my problem.
I have a 1999 honda civic SE. I have replaced the spark plugs last year, new battery about 2-3 years ago. Not sure about the Alternator.
My problem:
My civic has been shutting off while i drive, this has been happening for a while (months) i was not sure what this was. I was told it was the fuel filter so i replaced that last weekend and it has not shut off since. But today when i was parked it suddenly died on me, not once but 3 different occasions today. I am really tired of this car turning off on me. If anyone can guide me into the right direction on how to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it. I am not sure if its the battery or the alternator, i can turn the car on so i dont think its the Alternator.
I would also like to add that today i helped a friend boost his car, im not sure if this has anything to do with it as this problem started again today.

-Thank you

Describe what happens to the gauge cluster whenever the engine dies.

Well the gauge clusterdoes nothing really. I have radio, lights and the heater on. The vehicle just goes from on to off. It can start up again but im just tired of this.

But before i had replaced the fuel filter, I would drive and on my gauge cluster the speed would read 60 and then drop to 0 - meaning it had died.

Does this mean no battery sign lighting up, no CEL, those things that light up when you put the key on ON-II? If it does, check your ignition switch. Try jiggling the key while car is idling.

I leave the car running for like 10 mins and it like gives out jus dies. Not sure, How do i tell if its the fuel injectors? maybe a air filter?

99 civic... Is this the original fuel pump? or has it been replaced?

You can buy a fuel pressure gauge that fits right on top of the filter for cheap.

walbro 190lph goes for 59 bucks or so.. check the marketplace for HT member deals

My friend has this same problem with his 83 Z28 camaro.
your problem is probably the in tank fuel pump or the throttle body. The car is either not getting the fuel or air it needs.

check for vacuum with a vacuum and fuel pressure gauge. then do a fuel volume test. im not sure what the specs are for honda just yet but check it out.
