ok well when i rev my 99 civic d16y7 the car gets a rough idle then dies, no matter when i rev my car up, but driving it there isnt any problems at all, i cant even be stopped on a hill without trying to keep it at an idle before i rev it up

 

bump anyone know or have any ideas?

 

only thing that comes to mind for me is unmetered air is coming in somewhere

 

thats what im thinking to, but im also getting that over carbertated smell when i first take off

 

cant beat going out and doing some diagnostics

 

yeah that is true lol just thought someone may have had the same problem on here and found out the fix

 

I had a similar problem on my 92 EG. You didn't say if your having a CEL or not, I wasn't. But every time I checked a sensor I found that they were bad, changed my IAT, ECT, and o2 sensors. Ceck your IACV too.

 

no codes or anything? is it all stock with no mods?
