You've find Skunk's support group pretty responsive - the question I'd ask them is if the stock bottom-end has enough compression. That might help you decide on the valves.

high comp valves will only raise your compression about .1 i do believe it was.

Pro3 is much to big for a stockish compression and bore type r motor. Try pro1. You wont be disapointed with that. With that said you dont need to do anything besides valvesprings and retainers. I would recamend a 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust. And a 68mm throttle body and definitely a tune. Also dont replace your fuel rail. Your stock one is fine.

i suppose, but not the pro series stage 2. s2s2 , s2s3, s2p1 would all do you fine. i would personally use the pro1's. but thats just me.

or if you can swing it... custom cams. theres a few dealers around here that would love your business

There is about 1000 ways to answer this question. Lets simplify...What do u want to do? How much power do you want to make? How much money are you looking to spend?

If you want that much power your going to have to do more research. There is loads of info on here that you can search for. Go to the all motor dyno thread and look for the power numbers your looking for and check out there builds. To get an all motor b series to 250 or 300 whp your going to need atleast 2.0 liters if not more. And some very good port work and possibly custome parts. Ether way you have a lot of learning to do before you get into this.

250-300hp? and $3k ti invest? only way to get there would be forced induction...A bolt on kit would net that power range, and so would a JRSC if you could get your hands on one.

All in all though it sounds like you need to do as "angryhillbilly" mentioned.

Those cams will never "just give you power!" whats the rest of the motor consist of? stock header? intake? stage 2 sk2 cams are much to big for a semi stock ITR motor. I would recomend a set of sk2 tuner 1 or maybe!! tuner 2 cams! depending on what other suporting mods you have.

If you really want to make power and not slap your self after spending all that money going all motor and you only make 200hp. Ask anyone going all motor is the expensive way to go slow.

Your best bet is to get a turbo kit and tune the motor and have fun with 300hp or get a Jackson supercharger and tune it and end up with 230-250hp.

You will need to do do a complete rebuild to reach 250hp all motor! im talking about a 2.0-2.1l block, ported head, good header and cams.ect ect. Want to call it a day just go boost. imo just put a JRSC on the stock motor and get it tuned on 6psi and have fun. or turbo it.

Being that this is the all motor forum... i am going to question why anyone would bring up forced induction. He posted here so he wants to stay all motor. And he said skunk2 stage2 cams... not pro2. Stage 2 meaning tunner series. And for a stock type r motor with good I/H/E the motor will love those cams.

But if he wanted peoples opinion on I/H/E I would recamend he ask. Or share his current setup.

Fuel Rails? .... j/k i know what ya meant. Lets move backwards a little bit. You have about 3k to invest and you want to stay N/A. lets throw 250 hp out the window because its obvious that's not going to happen with your budget.

For immediate gratification...im going to assume your on a stock P73 ECU. Just spend the money on finishing your basic I/H/E combo and invest in your transmission.

Gratification= trans with LSD and 4.9 final

Sweet! you already have a trans...4.4final? or 4.785? even this little mod is a night and day difference. Are you just after the 250HP as a benchmark number? or are you after something that feels and drives like it has some *****?

A 175whp itr with 4.9 final drive trans will feel and outperform a 200whp itr with 4.4 final. This is neither here nor there but i wanted to elaborate on the difference of a HP number and the actual feeling when driving something with less power but with aggressive gearing...
Back to your question...It would cost as much as selling your B and going K.

With the K you can attain 250 with bolt-ons and a tune. Beat up on it and not worry.

what is the car used for? track racing? drag? just a fun street toy? Daily driver?

how far into this rabbit hole do you want to go to get your power numbers?
are you willing to rebuild the entire motor? possibly sleeve it? stroke it? change pistons?
port and polish?
Do you even know what 250whp all motor feels like? or are you just throwing out a random number that is mad tight yo?

if all you want is to add some good power to your ITR motor and make it more bawlsy. you can just build the head. PNP, 68-70mm TB, peformerX intake manifold or skunk2 pro, pro1 cams, pro series flat faced valves and valve train, a better header like toda or smsp or hytech, and a matching 2.5-3" exhaust. and of course a good Dyno tune!!!
(i think the Pro1 cams will make you more over all power than the tuner stage 2's)
