i have a 2003 v6 3.0 accord and the engine was lock so i bought a engine from ebay and they send me a 2001 engine which is the j30a1 ....can i install the head on my j30a4 on the j30a1 block

 

can a head on a 2003 v6 accord fit on a 2001 v6 accord block and will it bolt up in the 2003 accord coupe

 

I don't think so; the j30a1 is a 1G j-series engine while your j30a4 is a 2G j-series engine. They have different crank sensor locations and the deck surface might have different coolant/oil passages. If you have both engines side-by-side, you could do a better comparison.

 

i swap the heads on block on the engine.i use the j30a4 head and put it on the j30a1 block and it fit perfectly but like the gentlement say he crank sensor was differet...my j30a4 had six wires i think and the j30a1 had only two....help.....and the compressor and alternator didnt fit on my bracket so i think i will have to use the 2001 brackets so will it work

 

Have you tried to swap the sensors?

 

yes the sensors are not set up the same at all

 

ok everything is bolt up but i have a major problem the crank sensor on my 2001 block have two wires and the wires from the cpu has 5 ...can i rewire the 2 wire crank sensor to fit the 5 wire

 

is there anyway to rewire
