Default V-TEC when cold

Today after work I started up my gsr and after about 2-3 minutes of driving I accidentally revved my car up to about 6-7 g's because I wasnt paying attention (music was pretty loud). Not sure if v-tec engaged because I quickly shifted to the next gear. I know it is bad to rev your car high until it is at normal operating temperature, but will this do any real damage? The temperature gauge was just starting to move from cold to the middle if it helps.

Thanks.

No your ecu wont activate vtec untill you reach operating temp. All that will happen is you rev and have no vtec

For VTEC to engage, you must have 1) Oil Pressure and 2) Closed loop (aka operating temp)
