Gato Intakes hands down!!! I've used others and this made more power, quality is bar none! Hit up DPraceparts.com Rolando or Allan will set you up.

How much power are you trying to make? What are you using the car for?

I'm not sure how anyone can recommend something without these questions answered first...

I've made over 600hp on an RBC with a 6262 no problem...that's $800 that could be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.

I was wondering when someone would say this. I too am in the process of building a turbo K series, so of course this question interested me. My last K series setup I did not even put a RBC on and it still made good power and ran really awesome. That had the stock K20A2 (PRB) intake manifold on it. I still have one of those manifolds and was going to either try and modify it or just use it as is and see what kind of power it made on my turbo setup.

Chris, what type of power have you seen with the regular old PRB (K20A2) intake manifold in a turbo setup?

I dont think I have tuned anything other than a few measily stock motor setups on the stock PRB intake...nothing crazy.

RBC is nice because you can keep an IACV and actually have a fun street car with a decent amount of power.

If this is a dedicated track car and you are trying to make HUGE powers, then I would probably try an AFI, a Kinsler, a Gato, an Excessive, BMC...etc etc. They are all going to make very small differences between all of those "race" intakes and even then its going to vary based on the rest of the combo of parts you choose to put on the car.

When trying to make high numbers on the dyno, you need something that makes power up high in the rev range...the RBC/RRC is not geared for that as much.

You don't need any of those expensive manifolds to make good power with a K. Here is one of our turbo Ks. Stock mani and TB along with stock sleeves just over 800hp and peaks a 9500rpm

Which stock manifold are you using? The PRB?

Ever thought of contacting Golden Eagle Manufacturing?

I haven't put my car through the test yet, but great looking product - I know Speedfactory did a install on Murder's car in Honda Tuning a while back and it made more power, granted mine is a variation of that design, but for the price it looks to be a quality piece and has proven numbers backing it.

RRC out performs the RBC
