Default New to this.. sort of

Hey all,

I currently have a 2001 acura integra I have been DDing for a while and it has 160xxx mi on it. I recently sold my 240 with an sr20 in it and looking to do a mild build to the integra but still DD it. Budget isn't a huge issue just not big enough for a cool k series build. I was thinking about getting a gsr swap and doing a mild build to that. Slightly higher comp, mild p n p head build. I would do all the work myself minus some machine work. Any ideas? Just want something I can still drive in the winter and not be too worried about issues.

Thanks for the input

I know I could do a ls/vtec set-up but im going to purchase a motor over the winter and do the build now and have everything in line so I can take a weekend to get it swapped and running. I don't know if itd just be easier to do a gsr

Yeah I was thinking that'd be cool to do too. Not sure what a good price would be for one. That pretty much just bolts in correct?

Yea pretty much. If your Teg is an LS you'll have to run wiring for VTEC. Same with the gsr engine.

I haven't checked on them for awhile... Last time I checked they were like 4500$ for a swap. You might be able to find an engine on like eBay for around 2k. But I'd say go type r for sure =]
I wish I had one haha

Prob just for the power plus. But then you could built an lsvtec. I have that and it has more pull then my 98gsr. It'd be allot cheaper to do LS VTEC for sure. Then you'd have allot of extra money for internals and what not

It's been built high comp already and it's been tuned to hit fuel cut at about 8800rpm I think. I'm sure it could do more if I had some head work done too

I'd run b16 head. They're supposed to be close to type r from what I understand.
Comp is 11.5:1 and head is stock other then gsr cams.
