Default 96 Ls to a b18c5 swap.

I have a 96 Ls with 170k on the engine. I want to know if it would be better to swap the b18b1 that's in it to the c5. Or if I should sell and get the type r.

I would have to agree contingent on what the car is used for and where you live.. I know California's bar laws make it almost impossible to run an lsv without running into some little problems. The b18c5 is certifiable, just make sure to read up on your particular states mandates. If the car isn't daily driven or located in a non emissions driven state then lsv all day

I live in Ga. so emmision laws are pretty much nonexistant. The car is my daily driver at the moment. I've entertained the lsv idea, but having the type r engine seems so much sweeter. I think im just going to leave the enging in the ls and do some minor upgrades here and there, and buy a cheap type r and drop a new c5 engine in it and make that my project car.
