It was working great last night.....???

But today when my mother tried to go to the store, the damn thing wouldn't start. All I can hear is the fuel pump priming and thats it.....NO starter turn.

The engine is full of oil, and visibly has no problems. I have checked most of the fuses and they are all OK.

WTF????

Any help?

To bad all my Honda knowledge is centered around Turbo's and CRX'S.....

ignition switch.

edit: Or completely bad battery that's showing high voltage. Check the AMP drop with a multimeter when you crank the motor. Connect one prong to the negative terminal of the battery and one prong to the starter at the connection to the battery cable (if possible). It shouldn't fall below a 8 or 9 reading (i think that's the number...its been awhile). Check a manual...should have the right numbers. You could also try jumping the car with another car or a wall-charger. That would tell you right away if its the battery....

your 96 ex was probably affected by that ignition recall. honda will replace your ignition for free if you take it to the dealership.

 

UPDATE:

Went to go start her up this morning, and.......starts right up.....

Didn't give any weird noise, stumble, or codes....just started right up.

WTF????????????
