This evening my dash lights started flickering and then went out on my 94 accord. The shift indicator light also did the same as the dash lights ,but when the headlights are off the shift indicator light works perfect. Anyone got any ideas?

 

Start with the dash dimmer.......

 

Dimmer switch. I had the same issue. I got 2 from a junkyard and swapped one in. Worked ok, swapped the second one in and worked better, so I took one apart and carefully took the circuit board out and re-soldered each joint. Put it back together and works like brand new.
