1974 Mini with B18B, wiring questions.
So first of all I have done some searching and can't find the info I need. I am building an old school mini with a '97 B18B. It has a P75 ECU from an A/T. The engine harness is an OBD2 from a GSR (I know it's totally bastardized). My goal is to have a running car without a CEL constantly shining in my face. I would like a functioning CEL though.
Is there a way to remove the EVAP system and fool the ECU into believing it is still there? I don't have to worry about smog on this car, so I would like to eliminate the system altogether (It's a tight fit in the engine compartment already, trying to fit a turbo and topmount IC, no room for an EVAP canister).
I also have to do something with the ELD wire coming from the ECU. I don't have an ELD... From what I have read the ECU will not know voltage to get from the alternator. Is there any way to bypass this? At least fool the ECU to not throw a CEL code for the ELD.
I found a bypass fix for the fuel tank pressure sensor, but if I am going to be throwing constant codes anyway, I don't know if it is worth $4 at radio shack to fix.
If I was able to get a solution to my issues and get rid of the codes I am going to throw I would like to hook up the service check connector, so I am looking for a diagram of the connector. There are only two wires that I am not sure what they do... One is light blue and the other is white/red (I think).
Any help is great appreciated.
