Default No start

Finished boosting my car recently, my mods are as follows:

b18b

450cc DSM blue top injectors

Xenocron fuel pump

Crome tune

Gm 3 bar

Originally i have a Phearable basemap which the car ran on. (super rich)

Took my ecu to my tuner to have him upload a tune so i could get on the dyno. Now that car wont start. It turns over, sometimes sputters, but no start!

The only thing that has changed is the amount of fuel in my gas tank, and the tune on the ecu (still crome). My tuner suggested that since I'm low on gas the fuel pump isn't able to pressurize the rail enough to get the engine to turn over.

Is this possible? (I'd go try but the car is sitting in his garage still, going to bring it home tomorrow) It seems like the xenocron fuel pump would sit the same way in the tank, that the oem one does.

Here is the kicker though! I wired in the oem map sensor, and plugged in the stock ecu, and the car still won't start. So now i'm really puzzled.

Any help is appreciated.

What lights in your cluster come on/stay on with the key in the on position? Check for fuel pressure at the fuel filter. Is the pump priming? Can you hear it wine for 2 seconds when you turn the key to the on position?

The easiest thing to try first is putting in 5 gallons or so of fuel...and see if that cures the issue at least temporarily.

Lots of time we get reports from people that below a certain fuel level they have issues, which is usually caused by the fuel sock being put on incorrectly or loosely...or sometimes knocking it loose while installing it back into the tank.

Essentially if the fuel sock isnt put in the correct location to pick up fuel it wont be able to, or if air is able to get around where the sock connects to the fuel pump, you will get air in the lines.

Hope that helps...

Ditto the above ^^^, it is the simplest troubleshooting you could do, [put gas in the tank] and unlike tossing other parts at the problem, you will always need the gas.

So now get the whole setup out of the tank and inspect it and see what can be done to rectify it. Call us or email if you need help...
