stock motor finally went out with a boom 10.2@142
i know this is nothing special but just thought id share what we been going through.had a thread up on b20vtec 2 years ago when we put this car together for a simple 11.50 index/street, this motor has nothing but oem and napa parts other than the arp head studs internally.
stock b18b1(ls) block junk yard motor
stock gsr head , stock springs ,retainers, valves etc
stock jdm lsd gsr tranny
full race turbo kit using a garrett t3/67mm turbo
presicion 1000cc injectors
single walbro
blox intake manifold
74mm tb
3bar map sensor
s300
we put this car together late 2010 i tuned it on pump gas cars best pass was a 10.9@130
after swaping to a no name ugly looking intake manifold due to the blox braking i turned it up some more car did anywere between 20-25 passes of all 10.6-10.8 all others were 10.8-11.2 only the first few passes while track tuning were between a 11.2-11.9
car gave us a little over 50 passes last year.
to start this year off we changed the fallowing-
we changed over to a a1000 fuel pump
changed to 1600cc injectors
all fuel lines
changed the turbo to a precision 6765 same t3 manifold
clutch
went from q16 over to e85
after some tuning i drove the car to a 11.2@132 letting off

took a few days to go over things that wasnt working that day and fixed a few things
we knew the track was gonna be shitty but we wanted to have some fun with the car
same boost level as my 11.2 pass my boy drives first pass of the car was a 11.7 slow shifting
second pass he broke the shifter and missed gears did i think it was a 11.5
3rd pass was a 11.4 ******* up at the ligth (ebrake wouldnt hold) it would of been the same pass i did a 11.2 and then after some more boost a 10.4 with a few mistakes.
next pass same boost settings nothing changed just him driving it better the car went 10.2@142
car was on 22 psi on that pass... last pass it was set to 27psi on 3rd and 4th but the car droped a valve between the 2nd to 3rd shift and i guess we will never know what that pass would or could have been lol
we had a great time with this car , simple setup ...alot of team work and lots of work payed off at the end of it ...we got what we wanted and tried going for the single digit but the motor didnt hold...i would love to try it again but for what?
ending the seasong with a boom wasnt so bad after all.

first time on the scale with no driver it was 2,087 + driver ... after that we did add a 8 point mild steal roll cage so im putting it around 2350 give or take 20 depending the weight of the roll cage ... driver weighs just over 150. nothing is cut or removed from under dash , just no passenger or rear seats

i had the rev limit on 8500 for almost 2 years and car will run 10.6 passing the line hitting the rev limit and coming out line it will just hit the rev limit quick...that was the first and only day the car saw 9200 rpm and it help more, but i think we would of gotten a few more passes if he wouldnt have sat on the limiter so much on the 10.2 pass...after the 10.2 we had another 10.4 which go pro didn't record and then the last pass

next we will be using my back up motor from my red car to put on this, simple setup 81mm 10:1-cr eagle rods 89mm crank, head package on ctr cams this one is stock sleeve aswell but we not planning on killing it like we did on this motor... im gathering parts for my next build and we are going to be focusing on that a little more since ive spend the last year and a half just getting everyone else running right and me cheerleading from the sidelines lol...i think its safe to say its my turn to have some fun.
