b series crank pulley qeustion
i was putting together a poor mans type r set up (gsr head) (b16a block) my queation was can i use my gsr crank pukley cause.my b16 didnt have one so can i use it or will there be issues that i will have to deal with? any help i appreciate
thank you so much im really excited on this cause i scored a b16a2 block with p30 pistons in it so im@ stoked i have a jdm gsr blew piston rings so im going for it .. stock head n block so not expecting much but happy ill be able to drive again .. will the timing cover fit frm the gsr mon to the b16? what head gasket should i use ..and im using stick gsr intake manifold but i removed the butterflies in the intake manifold cause ive heard good things about doing that ..
I made a thread on a motor i built here years ago but it not here no more, it was a b16w p30 pistons and a gsr head.
Use a b16 head gasket.
The lower timing cover might not fit.
Look into using a itr style intake manifold. Your gonna run into issues removing the butterflies. Using a stock ecu your not gonna run right by removing the buterflies. Id go with a sk2 manifold or ITR style manifold.

I never recomend to reuse stock head bolts. Save a little and buy a set of used b16 ARP head studs. And you can order the assembly lube online if you dont get any with the used ones, i dont like to use oil to substitue the lube.
Use a oem b16 timing belt.
If you buy a set of new or used ARP bolts, ARP has its own 3 step torque specs. If you use oem studs which i dont recomend because the stretch when torqued from the factory you will refer to the owners manual or a haynes manual for the torque specs. Or just google it!
thanks for the help ya i jus might buy the head studs than. better safe than sorry .. thnks for the infon the advise stock headgast b16too than? the set up stock should be a lil punchy than? im happy with what i got ill jus get the head studs and belt b16 than
Ya if your on a budget look for a used set of ARP b16 studs, and if you dont get the lube you can buy it for a few bucks online. And you will want to use the oem b16 head gasket and timing belt. It should still be a fine motor nothing majorly diffrent than a stock b16 motor.
