Hello I have a 94 integra gsr, its all stock. Recently it ran low on oil and the engine shut off( i'm not the one that drives it everyday plus the gaskets are old and leaking). The check engine light came on before it shut off. I jumped the diagnostic connection and turned the key to the second on position, however, it did not flash any codes at all. No flash, the light came one when i turned the key and then just went out and stayed out. When you turn the engine on the CEL comes on and the engine will not rev past 3k. I've read that this is limp mode because a sensor went dead, but it won't flash any codes when i check it, so i then found that that meant the ecu was toast. Come to find out it had a p06 ecu in it so i got a virgin p72 and installed it but its still the same. Any tips, thoughts???? any help would be appreciated. Also i do not think it is the dist.

 

make sure theres enough oil first. Then try and disconect the battery for a few sec then put it back on, usually this will reset the ecu after limp mode. or disconecting the ecu for a few sec will do it too. did you get the obd1 p72 ecu or the obd2 p72?

it now has plenty oil in it. tried disconnecting the battery but did not work. I got a obd1 ecu for it

 

check all your sensors like the oil preasure swtich.
