I purchase this car in 2002 brand new and I drove very little for the past 10 years, as of right now it has less than 60k on it.

But 2 weeks ago, when starting, the it have hard time shifting gears. However after the car has been warmed up for 5-10 minutes the problem would decrease and after drove for a few miles everything would feel normal.

So I took it to my local shop, and they told me the code P0700 come up, and it might not necessary be the problem with transmission itself, it might have to do with the computers or something.

I don't know if anyone experience this problem before, if so can you advice me what to do? Because I read people have changed the whole transmission and it didn't help at all. I want to avoid the similar problem from happening.

 

Get the trans flushed.
