i recently found this car on craigslist and checked it out in person. my dilemma: the seller claims that the car is running a JDM GSR swap, but vtec didn't engage during the test drive. the seller explained that it's an ECU issue (it's running a chipped P72 by spoon sports), and that it could be fixed if i bought a stock GSR computer. he also said that i could wire a push button switch. i'm pretty new to hondas, but this kinda sounds like a simple wiring issue. i swear i saw "B18C1" stamped on the block as well, indicating that it's probably a USDM engine. anyone have experience with this? is this guy full of ****?

 

id skip this one, wait till you find one that works on the test drive.

 

Yeah guaranteed its full of issues beyond the VTEC one.
