Default iPod adpaters & OEM Stereo...

I know you are able to control your iPod through your factory stereo, but can you still control the music & volume trough your iPod still?????????? I want to tuck 1 one of my old stereo's behind my dash, use a block off plate and have the iPod cord hanging out somewhere... I DO NOT WANT TO HIDE MY OEM STEREO IN THE GLOVE BOX OR ARM REST!!!!!!!! I just want to make it look like I DON'T have a stereo at all!!!!!

add an aux input (headphone style jack) to factory system...bunch of companies make modules to do so. Pac-Audio I think makes one...then just plug in the iPod and it should control volume and playback functions, just have to leave volume close to maxed out on factory deck you tuck away.

Something else going on then bc you shouldn't have motor noise at all. High pitch whine sound? follows rev of the motor?

You didn't even state the year or model or make of your car. Most stock stereos (at least from more than 5 years ago) did NOT have ipod integration. I'd say the simple solution is to just use an auxiliary cable and a 12v USB charger.

It was answered. You said can you tuck away a factory stereo and control volume and playback...YES you can, with the addition of an aux input, depending on the factory stereo, YMM of vehicle, they may have a module avail... no offense taken...maybe you should be more clear.
